Owner & Head Team Coach

Chrystal Leinweber

I have been coaching at Top Flight for a few years now and it has been a great experience! Growing up I was a competitive dancer, which led to my interest in gymnastics. I have been working with kids of all ages since the age of 12 and have enjoyed it ever since. Coaching kids is a reward in itself for me because I have the opportunity to see them learning and having fun.

Amanda Lavelle

I previously did gymnastics for 7 years and have been coaching here at Top Flight since September of 2006. I enjoy working with the recreational children very much because instructing them on how to do new skills and then seeing the smile on their faces when they accomplish something is rewarding for me.

If I had a quarter for every time I have taught a forward roll I would be a very rich woman.... I have been coaching gymnastics since I was 17. I have my BA in Early Childhood Education and am currently going to graduate school. I love children and the silly things that come out of their mouths! I have just recently joined the team here at Top Flight and can’t wait to see how much more fun is in store!

Nancy-Ann Van Eck

I enjoy coaching because I love how excited the kids get when they figure out that they can do something they never thought they would be able to do. It is rewarding to help the kids achieve skills that they themselves never thought possible. It's a great feeling to boost a child's self esteem though a sport that I also loved
I competed gymnastics for 13 years, 10 of which were at Almaden Valley Gymnastics Club and I competed level 10 before I went to college. The remaining 3 years I competed for San Jose State University where I trained all four events but specialized in bars and beam. I coached at California Sports Center for 3 years, coaching team development and levels 4 and 5

Melia O'Quinn

>Hi! My name is Melia O'Quinn and I joined the Top Flight coaching staff in February. This will be my thirteenth year coaching gymnastics and I'm excited to be joining this successful program. I have twenty three years of experience in gymnastics which began when I was a young gymnast who reached level 9 and resulted in my career as a USAG judge and coach. My experience working with children of all ages from parent and me through level 10 has given me many unique experiences and reminds me how important gymnastics is in building a strong foundation for life. My philosophy for coaching is that each child is unique and learns in a different way and my goal is to help all children reach their highest potential whether that means getting a cartwheel or a college scholarship. I believe in working hard, having fun and letting the results speak for themselves.
