Top Flight offers a competitive program for
both boys and girls. Our competitive programs are
designed to prepare the serious gymnast for competition.
Our coaches emphasis is toward strength, flexibility, coordination and self-confidence.
Top Flight's competitive program is designed
to accommodate all ages and ability levels. Our team program follows the levels and guidelines
prescribed by USA Gymnastics, the governing body of the sport in the USA.
Gymnasts usually enter the competitive program through
coaches invitation only.
Girls Teams
Compulsory Gymnasts
Girls compulsory levels are level 4 to 6. Each gymnast performs the same routine as every other gymnast in competition.
The competitive events for girls' gymnastics are the vault, uneven parallel bars, balance beam, and floor exercise
The compulsory competitive season begins every year in August
Optional Gymnasts
Beginning with level 7, Gymnasts performing optional routines, in which they perform routines, created from a list of
appropriate skills, with their own personal style add to their routines.
Optional gymnasts begin their competitions in December.
Boys Team
Competitive boys team begins at Level 4 through level 10. Level 4, 5 and 6 are considered a compulsory level,
meaning all gymnasts perform the same routines in competition.
Beginning with Level 7, Gymnast perform
optional routines. In optional routines, gymnasts choose from a series of appropriate skills to create unique routines.
Boys compete on all 6 events: vault, parallel bars, pommel horse (and mushroom), high bar, rings, and floor exercise.
Competitive season begins in December
